climate in 2070

In the 2020s and 2030s, the climate is warmer and more extreme than most early-century climate models predicted. In Yahara, extreme rain storms occur with more frequency. Across the globe, climate-related disasters and conflicts over dwindling resources dominate the public discourse, which incites a movement for change.

As greenhouse gas emissions begin to moderate in the 2030s, 2040s and onward, climate change begins to slow down, but not lessen in severity. Residents have adapted to the new “normal” of an erratic climate, such as the large flood of 2069.
